Janamashtmi Celebrations 2022
The auspicious occasion, Janamashtmi is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Krishna.
Janamashtmi is a Hindu festival celebrated on the eighth (ashtami) day of the dark fortnight of the month of Bhadrapada (August–September). The fact that Krishna is the eighth child of his mother, Devaki, gives the number eight additional significance in the Krishna mythology.
The school celebrated Janamashtmi on 18th August 2022 with students of classes Pre-Nursery and Nursery. The boys wore costumes representing Lord Krishna and girls representing Radha. The students enjoyed the special acts of ‘Matki fodna’ and Radha-Krishna dance.
